Introduction

The Robotics Factory is the Frontiersmen robotic units production and research structure created by the Marine Commander. Marines or MACs are required to assemble the unbuilt structure and Power Node nearby.

When powered, the Robotics Factory can produce Mobile Automated Constructors. The Commander can upgrade the structure into an ARC Robotics Factory, allowing production of ARCs for siege on heavily infested Hive locations.


Tactical Summary - Robotics Factory
  • Robotics factories are the largest buildable structure on the Marine team compared to the Command Center
  • Robotics Factories require a unique requirement of an exit and cannot be placed if the exit is blocked.
  • Robotics Factories Build Macs and when upgraded for a moderate cost of Team Resources can build Siege ARCs
  • Due to their size, they can be used as effective Bile Bomb blockers near power nodes and prevent Oni from easily reaching a Power Node
  • When distance is a factor remember that ARCs travel at a very reduced pace and can be easily located and destroyed. Making a forward Robotics Factory might mitigate this issue.
  • Its recommended to build 2-3 MAC's when building a surprise base quickly while marines are keeping aliens busy.

The MAC otherwise known as the Mobile Automated Constructors are similiar to the Drifter that the Karrah can build except they do not offer line of sight or unique abilities such as Enzyme. A MAC's sole existance is to build structures at a reduced rate compared to a marine.

ARC

The ARC compared to the Natural Selection 1 variant is a more mobile version that offers great base destructive capability within a certain range. A single ARC can lay waste to a gorge fort or a Hive.

Recycle

Recycling a structure

Recycle enables the Marine Commander to return a portion of Team Resources by recycling a structure. The recycling process lasts a short duration, after which a maximum of 75% Team Resources used to create the structure is refunded. However, the amount of Team Resources refunded depends on the remaining health of the structure on recycle completion. The higher the structure's health, the more resources are refunded.
