|“A Gorge can build offensive Hydras and defensive Clogs. Can evolve ranged bile bomb for attacking armor and structures.”
The Gorge is a chubby, relatively slow moving pig-like Alien. It is a builder/healer that can accelerate the growth of Alien structures and build very useful support structures such as Gorge Tunnels.
Gorges can deal very limited damage and lack any real maneuverability, aside from the Belly Slide it can use to beat a hasty retreat. Gorges should always travel close to other lifeforms for support, unless they are trying to stealthily breach the Marines lines to place a Gorge Tunnel.
An Early-game Gorge should attempt to establish a linked Gorge Tunnel as soon as possible, to assert map control and secure territory. Once a tunnel has been placed, a Gorge should focus on healing team-mates and building Alien Harvesters to accelerate the accumulation of Resources.
The Gorge is a very slow and cumbersome lifeform and due to their tactical value, will often be targeted as a priority by enemy Marines. Once the Alien Commander has researched Bile Bomb, the Gorge can play a slightly more offensive role, attacking Marine structures and even taking part in coordinated base rushes.
Spits a wad of acidic goo over a long distance.
